This post is going to be my favorite in the Australian brand called Essence. Its a brand which has many good quality and its so affordable products. I have tried many products in this brand and have enjoyed using the products. So let me share the products which I love in this brand.

August Favorites 2013

Greetings everyone

This post is all about my August favorites 2013. This month I did not buy lot of stuff. But I did buy very essential ones and items which were on my wish list for a long time. The favorites include skin care, makeup and hair products. So lets get started.

The first product I have been loving is 

1) Alpha H liquid gold: I have a detailed review of the product on my previous post. I have been loving this product. My face is becoming brighter every day. Must try it.

                                              

2) VLCC Personal hair care Ayurvedic henna: This is a herbal product which is powdered henna leaves. This is so good for the hair it helps in conditioning your hair. This powder must be mixed with water and then applied on the hair. This gives a reddish color to your hair. If you have blond hair it turns into reddish orange color. So be careful in applying it. I usually mix it with brewed tea concentrate and leave it overnight to get a darker color. I have few gray hairs so I wanted to cover them. This gives the amazing smell after washing. Your hair fells thick. It can be used as a pre-treatment before coloring your hair which helps the hair dye to last longer. I only use this brand because they have amazing quality products. I bought of ebay seller who ships product from India. Just click on the ebay logo on the right side of the post or use the link below for the seller. Price is AUD10 for 100gms. I know there are many henna powder in ebay but sometimes they have chemicals in them. So I prefer this brand.

3) Beauty blender: After many people raving about this product I wanted to try it. I bought it of ebay and the way it blends the foundation is wonderful  Its gives the flawless finish. If you have never bought it please try it. I did not buy the original one because it was a bit expensive. I bought it for 6 AUD from the same seller. I tried it and it was good. The quality is good. Its worth trying it. You wont be disappointed. 

4) Australis mineral lipstick in color salsa: Its a cream finish lipstick and I like the color its a pink shade with orange undertone to it. 

       

5) Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion : I love aveeno products. I have used their brightening cleanser and its so amazing. This a body lotion which has the smell of wheat and its so moisturizing.

Finally bought Alpha H Liquid Gold

I am so excited to write this post. I have been watching videos after videos, reading blogs after blogs and reviews after reviews for more than 4 months now. And finally I did it I bought the LIQUID GOLD. Yay to me. I have been confused whether to buy it or not. I have seen many beauty gurus rave about this product and I wanted to try it. 

So what is Alpha H Liquid gold, its a  skin resurfacing treatment which uses low pH to diminish wrinkles, pigmentation and sun damage. It has glycolic acid which acts as a overnight facial which helps in brightening and revitalizes the skin. That mean dead skin layer is removed paving way to new layer of skin cells which gives a brighter skin and less wrinkles. 

Alpha H brand is an Australian brand (Amen to that) which have their own line of skincare using the glycolic acid. They have a set of skin care routine and is quite popular. 

The ingredients in the product:

Glycolic acid which exfoliates and brightens

Licorice extract helps to soothe and brighten dark spot and pigmentation.

Silk protein improves skin clarity and radiance.

How to use:

I use only few drops of liquid gold on cotton pad or ball and then apply it all over the face avoiding eye area. I even apply the left over onto my neck. It says only to use alternate days and not apply any cream over that. I use my eye cream because I dont apply the liquid gold near my eyes and I have very dry skin. 

 At first I had a little tingle sensation like when you apply lemon juice on the face. Don't worry its bearable and it diminishes after a while. You have to see the look in your face the next morning. My face glows and I stare into the mirror reaping my overnight facial results. My hubby did not see any changes no surprises there :) I am kidding. He compliments me all the time. Back to topic I have been using it for a month now. I am in love with it. My scars are getting lighter and my face is getting brighter. I can see dramatic change in my skin its feels so soft and glows from  inside. Will recommend this product to everyone who has pigmentation, acne scars and sun damaged skin. Should try it. 

I bought it from Absoluteskin website there are many online portals to buy it. I found that absolute skin website had the best offer. This product is a bit expensive. The liquid gold comes in 100ml and 200 ml.I bought 2 bottles of 100ml Liquid gold for 47AUD which was on sale. I made a profit by buying 2 bottles for the price of one. Will be doing a review with photos to compare the changes.

DIY LIP CREAM

Hi lovelies

Hope you all are doing great. This post is going to be DIY project on making your own lip cream. I know that everyone has something in their makeup collection which you don't use or looks bad on you or was a impulse buy. If you think you cannot rock that lip stick or lip gloss its time to make your own color by just following simple steps. Just go through your collection and get the lip products you don't like or use. 

Lets get started

Things needed

Lipstick (unused ones, colors you don't like or colors you don't wear)

Vaseline

candle

Spoon

lighter

mixing stick or fork

Method:

1. Empty the lip gloss or lipstick in the spoon.
2. Light the candle and place the spoon on the flame.
3. Just mix different colors to make your own custom made color by adding different colors little by little.
4. Add Vaseline to make it creamy and helps in mixing colors.
5. Just swatch the mixture to see the final color add different colors till you get the desired color.
6.  Once you reach the color just pour it back into the empty container or emptied lip gloss tube.
7. Just leave the tube for cooling and wait till it sets.
8. Now your own custom made color lip cream is finished.

I had BYS lip gloss in color its a bling thing which was too pale for my skintone. I could not pair it any other lipstick. So I used it and added my Maybelline Lipstick in mauve along with lip pigment which I have mentioned in my previous post. Check it out.

I got a perfect color which suits me and I am loving it. I did another lip cream with maybelline lip stick and lip gloss in nude. It came out as pinkish gloss which lasts longer like a lip cream.

Review of Rosehip oil

Hi everyone I wanted to do a review on a product which I have been using for 3 months now and its time to do a review. Before telling what the product is I want to tell that my skin type is combination skin which sometimes be a bit on a dry or oil side. That depends on the climate but mostly dry. I used to have clear skin but for the past 8 months my skin is at its worst breaking out in cheek areas and on chin. I think my hormones are acting on which leads to acne. And you all know the worst of acne is the scars it leaves. I got my scars on both my cheeks. I tried many products but no improvement what so ever. Then I tried this product which is organic one and its called "Rosehip oil ". 

I bought it from Priceline and the brand is Sukin. I have been using this for 3 months now and I am loving it. The product comes in a glass bottle as showed below.

The applicator is a filler type one. The oil is yellow in color and has a oil consistency. The oil has a bit of natural smell a bearable one. The oil gets absorbed easily like a serum.

It leaves a sheen to the skin.I would use this after my cleanser and toner. I usually take 3 drops on my fingers and then pat it on my face. I prefer a damp skin because the oil glides on the skin so well. Gently massage it on the skin and I use another 3 drops on the neck. I started seeing results after 5 weeks.

My skin was brighter, even tone not a drastic improvement but noticeable. My acne scars are fading and the breaking out has reduced. Most of all my skin feels so soft and supple. 

my verdict about the product is

Product: Sukin rosehip organic oil

Amount: 25ml

Price    : AUD 19.99

Texture: Feels like serum, a it greasy

Results: Fading scars, hydrated skin, brighter complexion

Recommendation: Would prefer this to dry / combination skin

                             Use it at night

                             Have to try this product its organic

                             Leaves the skin soft and hydrated

Verdict:  Must have product bit of patience required ( 4/5 points)
