DIY project- crayon lipstick/ lip stain/ tinted balm

Hope you all had a great weekend. I had a relaxing weekend just enjoying myself. 

This post is going to be my DIY project. I have read a lot about this and wanted to try it. This is a easy project you will need only minimum things. 

Things needed:
Vaseline petroleum jelly
Crayons ( non toxic ones) 
Mixing bowl
Candle 
Spatula
                        

Method:

First you have to decide what color to do want. The crayons are non toxic and they can be used on lips. I have decided to make 3 types. Two tinted lip balms and one lip stain. For tinted lip balm the ratio of crayons and Vaseline is 1:3. For lip stain the ratio is 1:2.

Just melt th Vaseline petroleum jelly  in microwave or using candle. And then you have to add the crayons and mix it well. This is the stage were you can see the final texture and pigmentation of the product. So if you want more pigmentation you can add the crayons or if you want more shine just add Castor oil along with it. Another alternative for Vaseline jelly you can add bee wax as well. 

Once you are satisfied with the color and texture you can just pour it on the container. Leave it in the fridge for 10 minutes. Then your lipstick / lip balm/ lip stain is ready to use.

Hope you try this DIY and the color possibilities are plenty. You can custom make your lip color.
