Spring outfit 1- colorful dress and accessories.

" Life is really very simple, but people insist on making it complicated"

Hello my wonderful people,
Hope you are doing very good. Its getting warm in Australia and it time to wear bright colors. I love this time of the year because the sun is out and has chillness in the air and cherry blossoms are blooming. Its a perfect time to wear colorful dress. The city has become so colorful. If you are in Australia don't forget to visit the flower show called FLORIADE in Canberra. I will post my visit to floriade. Look out for that.

So this post is going to be the spring outfit and how to dress it up. I have taken a colorful dress which has many colors and with patterns on it. I prefer floral design which are fabulous for any season. This dress suits the spring and summer as well. The colors in the trees matches the colors in the dress. The dress has a strap which ties on the back it helps to give shape to your body.
The dress has a deep v neck which can be adjusted on the back. This gives us more opportunity to wear statement necklace. The necklace I am wearing is made of colored stone and suits the dress.
I have also added a pair of bangles which is made of floral design and weaved by thread over it. It adds more color to the dress.Bangles are my favorite it has pink and yellow thread on them which pulls everything together.

I bought the dress from SES it a Asian shop which has amazing pieces at affordable price. The price is 15AUD

The necklace is from Diva and price is 10AUD.

The bangle are from India. I bought from ebay seller.

Best way to cleanse your face- comparison between brushes

"Its a great ability to be able to conceal one's ability"

Hello my lovely readers hope you are all doing great. I have been shopping a lot both in person and in online. I will do a haul post once I receive my products. So wait for it. This post is all about cleansing. The first step to your skincare regime is cleaning. Cleansing helps in cleaning the pores and dead cells on the face. Do you know that average human sheds thousands of cells everyday. The lost cells are replaced by new ones.

Here is how I show the importance of cleansing

C - care for your skin
L - love your skin
E - energize your skin
A - apply pressure to your skin
N - nurture your skin
S - strictly take care of your skin
E - enjoy the benefit

Its so important to cleanse your face twice in morning and night. There are many cleansers in the market I am going to describe the products I use on my daily routine. I use two cleansers regularly.
Ponds pure white charcoal cleanser: I use this cleanser daily as it has charcoal which removes the dirty from my face. I have a detail review on my previous post. Check it out.
Loreal pure matt solution with cleanpod: I use this when I have start to breakout as its for acne I prefer to heal and stop the breakout.

There are many ways you can cleanse your face by using your hands or any brush. There are many high end brushes like clarisonic ones. I don't have that so I bought the facial brush from ebay. The bristles were soft but it was harsh on my skin and gave me bad breakouts. I don't recommend buying it form ebay. The quality is bad. So I bought the silicone clean pod which comes with the cleanser. I am loving it it did not scratch my skin and it is so smooth and foams the cleanser. Silicone brushes are soft and gentle on the skin. To show the gentleness I am going to use both the brushes on kiwi fruit. The kiwi has softer skin and is delicate just like our skin.

Using facial cleansing brush.

  Using silicone bush.

As you can see the facial brush has damaged the skin on the other hand silicone brush has gently removed the fuss on the skin leaving it undamaged. So according to my opinion silicone brush is good.

  After cleansing

    Before cleansing

See you all in my next post.

DIY SERIES - INDIAN BEAUTY SECRETS

"Three can keep a secret, if two of them are dead."

- Benjamin Franklin

Hello my lovely readers

Hope you all are doing good. Sorry for the delay in the post I was just busy with personal stuff. As you all know I am from India. My grandma used to tell me many beauty treatments using just household products and mainly plant derived products. Even though I used to think thats all crazy I obeyed  her and she would apply paste on my hair and face. They did not smell good and does not show any difference in a short period of time. I remember scolding my grandma for doing this to me but now I know the worth of the herbal treatments. May my grandma rest in peace I still remember her when I follow some of her DIY face pack and hair mask.

Natural products are the best thing you can provide your body, hands down. The cons of natural products is it takes commitment and time to see results. In this busy world people need results asap so they prefer chemical and other methods. I know what you think , ya I use chemical products as well. But I make it a point to use natural products when ever I can. So enough of blabbering this post is going to be DIY treatments.

DIY series 1:
Hair mask for follicle:
As you all know the follicles have different growth stages and sometimes they go to sleep stage which causes hair loss. So we have to revitalize the hair follicles for them to start the growth stage.

Things needed:

Onions and lemon

Method :

Peel the onion ( preferably Spanish onion) and cut into chunks. Then blend it in a blender. You can also add lemon juice to reduce the odor  Once its blended take a cotton ball and just dip in the onion juice.

Apply it on the roots you should feel a tingling sensation or feel heat on the head don't be scared its common. Leave it for 20 mins and then wash the hair in regular way.

Use:
Onion juice helps in hair growth and vitalizes the hair follicles.

Hope you all will try it and get benefit from it.

Cheers

August Favorites 2013

"Ability is useless unless its used"

Greetings everyone
This post is all about my August favorites 2013. This month I did not buy lot of stuff. But I did buy very essential ones and items which were on my wish list for a long time. The favorites include skin care, makeup and hair products. So lets get started.
The first product I have been loving is

1) Alpha H liquid gold: I have a detailed review of the product on my previous post. I have been loving this product. My face is becoming brighter every day. Must try it.

2) VLCC Personal hair care Ayurvedic henna: This is a herbal product which is powdered henna leaves. This is so good for the hair it helps in conditioning your hair. This powder must be mixed with water and then applied on the hair. This gives a reddish color to your hair. If you have blond hair it turns into reddish orange color. So be careful in applying it. I usually mix it with brewed tea concentrate and leave it overnight to get a darker color. I have few gray hairs so I wanted to cover them. This gives the amazing smell after washing. Your hair fells thick. It can be used as a pre-treatment before coloring your hair which helps the hair dye to last longer. I only use this brand because they have amazing quality products. I bought of ebay seller who ships product from India. Just click on the ebay logo on the right side of the post or use the link below for the seller. Price is AUD10 for 100gms. I know there are many henna powder in ebay but sometimes they have chemicals in them. So I prefer this brand.
3) Beauty blender: After many people raving about this product I wanted to try it. I bought it of ebay and the way it blends the foundation is wonderful  Its gives the flawless finish. If you have never bought it please try it. I did not buy the original one because it was a bit expensive. I bought it for 6 AUD from the same seller. I tried it and it was good. The quality is good. Its worth trying it. You wont be disappointed.

4) Australis mineral lipstick in color salsa: Its a cream finish lipstick and I like the color its a pink shade with orange undertone to it.

5) Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion : I love aveeno products. I have used their brightening cleanser and its so amazing. This a body lotion which has the smell of wheat and its so moisturizing.
